Global Gathering 2010 Headliners Announced

After nine years of hosting the biggest outdoor dance festival, GlobalGathering looks to its tenth anniversary promising its most spectacular production to date. Returning to Stratford-Upon-Avon for two days and nights of beats from Friday, July 30th, the stage is set for a landmark birthday event that will have a lasting effect on ravers for the next decade.

Just as GlobalGathering has been at the forefront of dance music, it is fitting that Faithless will headline this year’s event. Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss have been the driving force behind an act which has been lauded as one of the most diverse and influential bands of the past two decades. Faithless have spent the last 15 years dominating dance floors with their unique, innovative sound — “Insomina”, “God is a DJ” and “We Come 1” remain timeless anthems to this day. The pair return to the festival for the second time to prove why they have been such firm favourites over the years.

It is fitting that Faithless will headline this year’s anniversary event.

As an added bonus, GlobalGathering and Faithless are also offering fans the opportunity to download the brand new track “Sun to Me” for free exclusively from the GlobalGathering website. The track provides the perfect introduction to their eagerly-anticipated new album, set for release later this year.

Joining Faithless at the top of the GlobalGathering 2010 bill is hip-hop impresario Dizzee Rascal. This unique talent has evolved from underground grime artist to a chart-topping, Mercury-award-winning superstar. Dizzee’s pioneering pop/hip-hop fusion has propelled him to global stardom and made him one of the most exciting live acts in the UK today. Dizzee Rascal said: “I’m really looking forward to GlobalGathering this year, gonna make sure that it’s a big one… 10 years and still getting bigger and better!”

More than 50,000 dance music fans will pour through the Stratford-upon-Avon gates this summer with more than 150 of the most exciting DJ’s in the world playing on the 16 stages to keep the crowds dancing through the two day festival. Revellers will also experience state-of-the-art visuals including the return of the Godskitchen Boombox. The rectangular structure will be home to some of the biggest names at this year’s event housing the latest DJ equipment and acting as a giant screen from which an astounding combination of lighting, LED’s and visuals will be projected in perfect synchronization with the music.

For those wishing to enjoy the two-day camping festival while returning at night to the lap of luxury, GlobalGathering has a selection of VIP packages on offer in a lavish camping area: Cloud9. Set in tranquil surroundings away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the festival, people can either bring their own campervan or choose from accommodation ranging from Gypsy Bow Caravans to Tipis, Podpads, Kacoons and more.
