Spotlight on Somerset House Studios Artists' Fair and new collaboration

Somerset House Studios is preparing to offer a rare opportunity to connect with its cohort of resident artists and host a new collaboration.

The Artists’ Fair on Saturday, June 1st will feature panel talks covering topics such as exploring what is needed to secure a better and more sustainable future for artists, navigating parenthood and artist practice, censorship, funding, and accessibility.

Original artworks will be on sale from artists including Ilona Sagar, Louis Morlae, Maeve Brennan, Paul Purgas, Sian Fan, and Zein Majali.

There will also be an afterparty in the New Wing Bar from 6pm to 9pm soundtracked by Studios residents.

Meanwhile the project space, G31, will host Dono by Appau Jnr Boakye-Yiadom and Harun Morrison from Friday, July19th exploring the potential of percussive sound.

New residents joining Somerset House Studios and Jerwood Residency recipients include Turner-prize nominee Jasleen Kaur, Jemma Desai, John Costi, Sophia Al-Maria, Lydia Ourahmane, Deborah-Joyce Holman, Che Applewhaite, Noah Bador, and Parwana Haydar.
