Hector Gannet, Grimethorpe Colliery Band, Dilettante, Isabel Maria, Vice Killer, and EverReady Band will play the 20th anniversary of the Durham Brass Festival.
Organised by Durham County Council and supported by Arts Council England, concerts, community activities, and street bands will form the programme from Sunday, July 12th to Sunday, July 19th.
On Friday, July 17th, Brass & Pipes returns with music from movies, musicals and more. Organist Howard Beaumont takes to the Wurlitzer at New Victoria Centre, Howden le Wear alongside the Stanhope Silver Band.
The same day Hector Gannet returns to Durham Brass Festival for Talking In The Mother Tongue at Redhills Miners’ Hall, aka the Pitmans’ Parliament. He will be accompanied by the Durham Miners’ Association Brass Band.
On Saturday, July 18th Brassed On is back for its fourth year featuring Dilettante, Francesca Pidgeon, Isabel Maria, and Vice Killer. Catch them at Durham Gala Theatre in partnership with BBC Introducing, Generator NE & NARC.
Also on the Saturday, the EverReady Band will play the Durham Cathedral.

Sunday July 12th will welcome ELVANA to the Durham Gala Theatre, blending Nirvana’s catalogue with Elvis Presley’s legacy. Rock 'n' Roll brass band Oompah Brass XXL will support.
