Maribou State, Quantic, AWARË, Darren Aronofsky, Proanguí, Snow Raven for Iceland Eclipse Festival

Iceland Eclipse has revealed its Fourth Contact programming of new artists, speakers, and experiences.

Running from Wednesday, August 11th to Saturday, August 15th on Iceland’s Snæfellsnes Peninsula, the event is timed around Iceland’s last total solar eclipse until 2196 with music, art, science, wellness, and exploration.

The new participants include DANCE additions such as Maribou State (live), Quantic (DJ Set), Freedom Fighters, Desert Hearts, Justin Sloe (Droog), ANNA, Ella Knight, and Snow Raven.

The LEARN and CONNECT programming includes astronauts, scientists, technologists, and cultural leaders from organizations including NASA, ESA, Space for Humanity, the United Nations, OpenAI, and the Iceland Space Agency.

New additions include Darren Aronofsky, Carl Hayden Smith, Amanda Sage, Brent Pella, and Emily Fletcher.

The Welcome Ceremony on Wednesday, August 11th will begin with an Icelandic elder sharing the mythology of the land alongside Icelandic musicians and closing with a set by AWARË,

The Eclipse Ceremony will take place in the Cosmic Connection garden, an area of the festival surrounded by trees with a clear view of the sky during the eclipse.

More than 15 live musicians and a choir of 30 will guide participants through a 45-minute journey during the eclipse, coordinated alongside a ritual performance drawing on Icelandic mythological traditions.

Previously announced acts across the event include Imogen Heap, Reggie Watts, Arc De Soleil, East Forest, CloZee, Ida Engberg, Kenny Dope, Nick Warren, Ryan Crosson, Dave Clarke, Nightmares on Wax, Booka Shade (Llve), Zero 7 (DJ Set), Emiliana Torrini, GusGus, berlioz, MEDUZA³, and Daði Freyr.
